​Many people still face barriers when seeking ceremonial services—based on gender, faith/belief system, or their marital history. As an ambassador of Humanist Canada, I believe everyone deserves the right to choose an officiant who will honour their story with respect and facilitate their legal right to marry without judgement.
I was fortunate to grow up with the freedom to explore and embrace my queer identity, and to choose a partner that made me happy above all else. My officiant practice is one way I carry that forward—by creating inclusive, affirming spaces where others can define their own happiness and celebrate their lives on their own terms, fully and freely.​
